Ritual to cut ties.
Energetic cords are formed between people, places, objects and events.
Your energy field is sacred and should be treat as such.
As we go through life, we can give our power away, so it is important to be aware and call it back when you feel an imbalance.
Cord cutting spells are a way to separate yourself from a person or situation you no longer wish to be part of your life.
The cord represents the energy and attachment that needs to be broken.
When it breaks, so will the tie.

At times this ritual my need to be repeated.
Adding something that is symbolic of yourself and something representing the situation/person involved can help channel your intention vibration.

There are many variations of this ritual, some like to physically cut the cord themselves, with scissors, however I always prefer to let the cord catch alight itself. Another variation is to add carvings to the candle, of either the names of people or places involved, or symbols to represent feelings.

The wish to perform this ritual can be for many reasons and can be difficult and very emotional. Maybe it's time to let go of a person you have been invested in for years and years, or someone you have an overwhelming attachment to. It could be a toxic or unhealthy friendship or negative family relationship, as well as the end of a romantic connection.

Various crystals of your choice may also be used to amplify and focus your intentions. ( I used Apophyllite, Clear Quartz and Black Obsidian)

I have used this ritual at various stages in my life and find it an extremely positive and liberating experience. I like to start by cleansing the space and with a meditation to help me focus my will.
There are also many versions of incantations that can be used, I believe that the intention is stronger than the words, but I will share my version -

I cut the cords,
The ties that bind,
Unravel unwanted energy with mine.

With gratitude for all that's passed.

So Mote it be.
On this occasion, the cord was not broken, but I still wanted to share this practice, as not every ‘spell’ may end in the result expected - However I still do still feel empowered and that my insight and awareness has grown.
........I guess, it wasn’t the right time for this particular tie to be broken.....or maybe I just wasn’t fully ready....... yet. 🖤
